You Are My Lord

Like a dog
Preparing to nap
I kept circling
Never finding comfort

Until I met you
You brought me tranquility
Even in the rockies places
You are my Lord

Like a vulture
Preparing to dine
I kept circling
Always uncertain

Until I met you
You brought me clarity
Even in the most puzzling time
You are my Lord

Like an ant
Foraging for the colony
I carried 50 times my share
Of pain and suffering

Until I met you
You took my weight
Even the darkest times
You are my Lord

Like a whale
Singing their songs
I cried out to support
Causing audiometric notches

Until I met you
You answer every need
Even the most futile
You are my Lord

Like a dove
Flying through the air
I spread the word
Introducing everyone to you

Since I met you
You have empowered me
Even when I feel insufficient
You Are My Lord!

Two Paths Ahead

The path around splits
Into two separate routes,
Paralyze at the start
Unsure which to take...

The pressure points left
Path of no twist or turns
But is surrounded with a fog
Casting shadows over hidden bumps...

The path around splits
Into two separate routes,
Paralyze at the start
Unsure which to take...

The fear pulls right
Illuminated for miles
With curve after curve
Forward movement feels lost...

The path around splits
Into two separate routes,
Paralyze at the start
Unsure which to take...

Both paths, right and left
Filled with uncertainty
Standing paralyzed
Unable to make a choose...

The path around splits
Into two separate routes,
Paralyze at the start
Unsure which to take...

Surrendering the options
You have not steered me wrong
The choose is yours
I'll follow the path you enlighten...

Red Flags

Red flags are flying
Spotted from the outside
Looking in!

Flags waving
From their side
And yours!

I see them clear as day
Try to knock them down
To no avail!

All these concerns
Raise confusions
For my own...

Am I colorblind
To the red flags rising
Right in my face?

Am I oblivious
To my own
Situational concerns?

Am I being ignorant
Just searching for love
Blind to the horror that awaits?

16 Candles

It's a late night
Sitting on the couch
Not a sole around...

An alert dings
Signaling the end
The end of a year...

Admiring all the sweets
From all the years
One stands out over the rest...

Sixteen candles
Casting shadows
On the cake of life...

Each representing
Trails and Tribulations
From three decades...

Tears dripping down
Extinguishing each flame
As flesh surrender to their burns...

The gray candle snuffs out,
Years of lonliness in seas of people
Exiting the pyche as it grows dark...

The yellow candle flickers off,
As the blinding light fade away
The path of purpose is revealed...

The green candle grows dim,
Sense of confidence flowing out
Overcoming fears and anxieties...

Sixteen candles
Casting shadows
On the cake of life...

Each representing
Trails and Tribulations
From three decades...

Tears dripping down
Extinguishing each flame
As flesh surrender to their burns...

The orange candle flame suffocating,
As the voice echoes over and over
Silencing all the helpless thoughts...

The white candle is next to fall,
A light revealed end of a tunnel
Shining truths on all the lies...

The red candle dies next,
Acting as acetaminophen
Eliminating all the pain and suffering...

Sixteen candles
Casting shadows
On the cake of life...

Each representing
Trails and Tribulations
From three decades...

Tears dripping down
Extinguishing each flame
As flesh surrender to their burns...

The brown candle must be next,
Giving peace and resolutions
To all the anger from the past...

The purple candle goes out,
With kindness and grace
Covering cruelties in the world...

The blue candle is knocked out,
Showing competence and skills
Killing every discouragement...

Sixteen candles
Casting shadows
On the cake of life...

Each representing
Trails and Tribulations
From three decades...

Tears dripping down
Extinguishing each flame
As flesh surrender to their burns...

The hardest ones are next
The crimson and pink candles,
Taking contemptment with it...

The navy and peach candles,
Fields of joys growing in grounds
Killed with the famine of Depression...

The beige and maroon candles,
The next ones to go,
Allowing the disaster cleanup to begin...

Sixteen candles
Casting shadows
On the cake of life...

Each representing
Trails and Tribulations
From three decades...

Tears dripping down
Extinguishing each flame
As flesh surrender to their burns...

One final candle remain
The largest and brightest
Working hard to overcome...

Taking the support and love
From the friends and family
Accept the freedom from God above...

The black candle finally gives up,
Scrubbing clean the life before
Ending the suicide crisises...
